RE: EU probes U.S. online gambling crackdown
If simply denying the US market to EU gaming companies wiped so much value from their stock offering, they can't have been worth that much in and of themselves.

If this claim is upheld, so should any claims by Monsanto and other manufacturers of genetically-enhanced crops that the EU's exclusion of these crops from their markets unjustly reduced the value of THEIR stock offerings.

As far as the EU's declaration of what should be part of our "policy mix" with reference to gaming or any other domestic regulatory issue, I can't think of anything which should matter less to lawmakers and regulators in the United States.

The US is constantly being accused of dictating policy to European countries - but here we have a European policy maker blithely handing down edicts to Congress. Ludicrous.
