What'll happen to the subscribers of the respective companies?

This is all interesting and such, but what I, the consumer, am really concerned about is how this will affect us should the merger go through. Particularly I have to wonder what would happen to our subscriptions after the merger, perhaps the respective companies should work on publicizing such a plan if they're really serious about the merger. I'm sure I'm not the only client wondering the same thing...
