I think students should have all rights to say what they want about their teachers as part of the US 1st amendment. After taking a look at the reviews for my school's teachers I have to say that the reviews are pretty representative of how the teachers really are in real life, since the site allows anonymous commenting students feel safe to really express how they feel about teachers and the website allows one to get a sense of who they'll be having class with when they're going to face a new teacher. Not only that but ratemyteachers.com allows school administrator to moderate the comments if they so wish, so all in all I think the website is a win win for both students and school employees. I see absolutely no reason at all for such a site to be taken down and am sad that French officials decided to do such.
