RE: French court says site cannot grade teachers
I don't know whether students are mature enough to rate teachers, but there's certainly a pattern here: teachers' unions never, ever want anybody to evaluate teachers' performance. Their only interest is in keeping their members immune from any kind of accountability for the quality of their work.

Unfortunately, the culture of protecting bad teachers exists in many countries, including the United States, and many politicians fear to do anything about it because they're bankrolled by the teachers' unions.
