While the USPS will pick up packages, postage for said items are based on size AND weight. And it's not always possible to purchase postage online. So yes, some sellers actually DO have to go to the post office to ship every item they sell. It's these sorts of misunderstandings by buyers that provoke unnecessarily low DSRs (those absurd star ratings).

Second, there's nothing 'interesting' about second chance offers. They're a feature ebay offers that will save a seller a listing fee (which doesn't really matter now that they've decided to shift the bulk of the burden to final value fees). Most sellers on ebay are no longer selling stuff they found in their attic, they're small business people. Therefore, it only makes sense they would have more than one of the same item.
