They already have - with UPS
eBay already has struck a deal with UPS for lower shipping rates. I get "pickup rates" when I use UPS, so my buyers get a break on shipping.

Sounds great? Well, it isn't, because eBay is made up of IDIOTS.

The built in postage calculator on the listing page doesn't compute the correct UPS rate. I have reported this numerous times, since last November, and nothing gets fixed. So buyers see a much higher rate than I can actually offer them. So even though eBay and UPS created a better deal for sellers, you can't properly present it to your buyers. This is a perfect example of why eBay's right hand doesn't know what it's left is doing. This is the "customer service" that is non-existent.
