Deadline in Viacom, Google copyright suit extended
I haven't really been following this because I have no love for either of the companies. Viacom and other companies in the business they are in don't know how to manage corporations and end up having to rely on frivolous lawsuits to make income and get their names in the headlines. Unfortunately when I see a company sue another over something as stupid as this, it only makes me not want to have anything to do with that company. Correct me if im wrong here, but Google doesn't upload any files and it's done by users. Google had a responsibility to act on DMCA requests, however that's about as far as it goes. If Viacom wants to sue people, they should just do what the RIAA has done and start suing war veterans in wheelchairs and other handicapped people. That's seemed to do alot for the recording industry.
