How about content? If the music and movie industries were giving the world worthwhile content, perhaps more people would be willing to pay for it. Especially music. Scratchin' records and talkin' **** isn't making music, but they give hip-hop & rap artists Grammys and talk about what great artists they are. BS!!

Maybe the music of the 60s & 70s wasn't exactly favored by the then older generation, but at least it was MUSIC, and it didn't all sound like it was made with cookie cutters. But there is very little of that kind of fare available these days. And when it is available, it is generally done by older artists who have been around form 20 - 40 yrs in the business. There there are a few (damned few) new artists that actually make music and good music, too. But they are few and far between.

The movie industry does better, but still when you look at the titles for the "blockbuster" movies, you see too many movies with just a few little changes to the script, and different actors playing the same roles - sometimes saying the same lines, and VOILA! - New Movie!

Who wants to pay for that!!
