Just a minute - who are our government protecting here?
It would seem that the powerful US money grabbing corporations not only rip of brits by charging much higher prices than they do in the US - now they may do so with the governmente protection! Where is the government when companies like Electronic Arts charge double the price for games in UK than they do in the US and use DVD region coding and blocking UK customers from US site to enforce it. Companies like this are the "pirates" but our government does nothing to protect us from them.

Are the UK government or Film/Music industry going to compensate ISPs for the extra work - hell no - you and I will pay the bill, including those of us who dont illegally download!

Here's an idea that the film/music industry could afford - open up a totally FREE ISP that can control downloads - Most would join it tomorrow - problem solved!
