This is news? (YES)

When I first read this, I thought, "Why is this news?" Then I had a thought: Yes, this IS news. It's news because this is an example that the system works when the rules are followed. In this case, while we don't know all the pertinent facts, the blurb from the magistrate's filing indicates probable cause rather clearly. The agents/agency followed the law and caught the criminal.

Now, if we could just get the rest of Motherland Security to work this way! As another commenter indicated, we all want to be located precisely and quickly when we dial 911, but we want our privacy otherwise. This privacy is our right!
