I do not know. Why did Google buy YouTube?
Google is soooo smart they had to purchase YouTube yet by you own words that would have made google a desperate company trying to buy its way into online video because they have failed miserably.. Correct?

and they also purchased:

For a brilliant company like google, why would they need any of those comapanies in order to compete? it makes no sense at all.
Sounds desparate to me.
