I'm afraid this is yet another sign...

of Governmental corruption and a sign that we are in deep, deep trouble. Having been ripped off by the State of Alabama (paid for a non-drivers ID that was never issued), I can just imagine how much fraud will surround this thing, especially once the illegal aliens (who shouldn't be able to get one) figure out ways around the law.

Mark my words: This will backfire so badly it isn't funny, and I truly wish these half-baked ideas would be reviewed and repealed. (another half-baked, proprietary bill (Paid for in totality by the RIAA and MPAA, the primary beneficiaries) was the DMCA, but I'll not go into that.)

National ID = one more step closer to universal ID and the idea that without some sort of injected thing or other, you can't buy or sell. Evil days are upon us.
