Infringing and illegality
I'm a lawyer who works in this field. To try and explain why this is considered stealing (a layman's term to replace the correct term which is "violating the law.") would take pages because this field is so complicated. I'm not boasting about my position. I'm just trying to explain that infringement is as prosecutible and carries pretty much the same penalties as "stealing." So, I think you post is misleading in making it look like infringement is less than breaking the law.
