Hey M@R@N !!!
it's not a crime until there's proof.. Until then its merely accusation's.

If the IP holder wants a suspected criminal prosecuted then they should have do what the rest of the civilized world has to do and that's file a complaint with the local authority's! Then let the proper authority's investigate and prosecute the crime... Vigilantism was outlawed a long time ago, but as I see it the music, movie and software industry wants to bring it back.

What's happening is the Music, Movie and software industry wants special rights. They want to act like vigilantes, They want to run around like bad ass cop's kicking in doors, breaking into computers and most absurdly of all they want to force independent company's to turn over the personal records of customers who they merely THINK !!!!!! could be, maybe, might possibly be stealing!!!!!

Allowing such absurdity would be like talking a giant step backwards in evolution of a civilized society. It would be like going back to the wild west and allowing just anyone the right to kick in a neighbors door so they could rummage through all their personal belongings while holding them at gun point simply because they think they might have possibly or could have possibly maybe stolen from them. Could you imagine 100 of millions of people kicking in neighbors doors searching for stolen property, I can't

So why are some people suggesting that its acceptable to give a private company special vigilante rights that in any other context would be a criminal violations of a persons civil rights simply because that company thinks that someone might be, could be, or could have possibly maybe stolen something?

Like I said the music, movie and software industry wants special rights to act like the Gestapo and use any method possible to violate the rights of anyone who they merely THINK might have possibly violated their IP.

Not only that, but now the music, movie and software industry is demanding that a totally independent company be forced into contributing to this absurdity by violating their customers TRUST by turning over personal information that includes information that could be used in identity theft , and get this NOT to a government investigator investigating a crime but to a private company's investigators and attorneys!!!!!!! And all because they think that maybe possibly one of that company's customers might be stealing intangible ideas and IP from them.

Yeah and this sounds like a good idea to who ??
