- In this case, Pirate Bay is likely to lose. Essentially, they are a Google for bittorrent, so technically they aren't doing anything to violate copyright laws. HOWEVER, they have 2 things going against them. One, they don't have monsterous amounts of money to pay off governments or hire the big-time lawyers that can make the devil himself look like a saint. And two, they are called Pirate Bay and make no effort to appear as if they actually care about copyrights, instead turning around to make fun of the companies that want to go after them over copyrights.
