RE: Waiting for the OpenSocial hammer to drop
why would anyone actuallly want to export data across platforms?
i mean, beyond c/p from one place to another.
FaceBook and MySpace are 2 different environments. my FB account has about..7. friends. one of my Myspace's has over 100. and i am on numerous other networks as well.
i see numerous complaints about social networks being about making money--generally coming from people who either have money or miss the point. a little php or whatever, plus a sense of what a social group is and can do created a $15 billion valuation for FB, because it provides a solution to a social problem.
as evidenced by:
http://bridgesolution.com/WorkGroups_on_FB.html
on which a snapshot of who sees value in FB's apis can be seen. but, i have to gp send a hatching egg to my lady friend, so...enuff.
