A child CANNOT be born without a father. I child can be RAISED without one, and that is a huge difference. And if that bothers you, then by all means, stay and raise your child. Different people cope in different ways.

Sex is one of our base instincts, I'll grant you. But it is the most NECESSARY instinct we have, as well as the most pleasurable. There are other base instincts that are worse... dominance, for one, and territoriality, for another. Recognize those? No? One says "do what I say, because I am the leader". The other says "You are not one of us, so you do not belong here. And I will kill you if you stay." We live with those aspects of our 'basal nature' every day. And those two instincts lead, almost invariably, to DEATH. Why all this trouble with a base instinct which leads, almost invariably, to LIFE?

And if you think SEX is addictive, take a look around and see what POWER (Dominance) and PREJUDICE (Territoriality) does to people.
