There is a reason, in the U.S., why people cannot drive until 16 and cannot vote until 18 (or be drafted, or be executed). It has nothing to do with 'god', but with basic cognitive and emotional development. It is one thing for two sixteen year olds to decide to have consensual sex with each other but it's a completely different situation when cameras, money and distribution are involved (especially today when anything that hits the 'net can live on forever). Teenagers are egocentric, lacking in impulse control and very short-sighted when it comes to decision making. It's reasonable to assume we all made decisions during adolescence that we're quite glad we don't have to live down today. And unlike your rant, this isn't my opinion, but the result of mountains of psychological literature. This is a reason why there are separate classes, research journals, certifications and specialties for people who deal with adolescents. They function and think differently than children or full-fledged adults.
