RE: Album sales plunge while digital growth slows
People will BUY good music, but someone has to make it. I cannot think of a must have music release in 2007.

When the music industry is finding its talent via televised star search (American Idol, Making the Band, etc.), and is suing its customers, one would think the industry has completely lost its knack for doing business.

To the Boards of Directors: Firing starts at the top, stop accepting or making excuses.

As a footnote, the income of the folks who buy music has been down in recent years. As income shifts away from the masses toward the wealthy few, one would expect music sales to go down. Bread, gas for the car, or a new mediocre release from some singer that had to win a TV talent search to get noticed. Hmmm, tough choice!

And, we're probably in a recession.

That said, when the industry is good, the people will buy music anyway; but the music has to make a difference, not be a commodity.
