"pump and dump" vs. advertising
The economic 'analysts' are doing pretty much the same thing sans spam. If the crooks offered some way to unsubscribe it's not even spam, thanks to US laws.
In the end this scheme is merely advertising, and I have yet to see anybody convicted for missleading advertising.
