I just did a search for "Google" on wikia and instead of getting the expected Google homepage as the first page I was presented with a bunch of junk wikia pages. So far this isn't very good, hopefully the search engine will get better and more relevant as the beta goes on. However based on the nature of the search engine I have a hard time seeing it being anything but a tool seo people game to increase the popularity of their clients websites.
