Same as Telephony

Employers use to monitor phones and try to stop non business use. The laws are applicable to Internet communications now owing to Bush applying telephone Harrasement Laws to Internet Bullying from this business man's perspective. A business has to get a court order to monitor activity is my take. So say someone thinks the business will be liable for an employee's blogging. They need a court order before monitoring can start - just like telephones.

The telephone laws allowing personal use of business equipment (phones) were put in place because employers were preventing family men and women from addressing issues with their children. In addition this is a safety matter. Say there is an earth quake. You are going to check the social net to see if everyone is ok.
