you're crazy...
if you think they will spend even $0.01 on technology to help us more immediately and easily prove our license. Where have you been the last few years-- under a rock? Their entire agenda is to force us to buy the same content over and over and over again-- the piracy BS is just a smoke screen for their real agenda-- and it has nothing to do with "fair use".

They've probably spent BILLIONS on trying to invent a truly secure DRM-- including trying out destructive rootkits-- how much have they spent on allowing us to accurately maintain and prove our licensing?

And what about the licenses I already own? I have purchased the same exact recording in 45 format, album format, 8 track format, cassette format, and now CD format-- EXACTLY HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SAME LICENSE?

This ruling is the beginning of the end-- once they have all this legal BS in place (which is aimed at students, moms, dads, teens, etc-- & NOT BIG MONEY PIRATES BTW) the next step will be to sell content per play ("OH you want to hear that song a second time-- that'll be an additional $1 pls").

This is a disgusting development-- when did gov't cease to be about citizens and become all about protecting big business.
