Buy USED
Don't buy into their BIG LIE. The real theives are the corporations and the government bodies that have stolen the public domain from ALL of us.

There is such a thing as the cultural commmons - you can't own an idea, you can only give a limited monopoly on the chattel the idea produces. The corporations have bought the laws, NO privately published sound recording will enter the public domain until 2040.

If copyright law had been as restrictive as it is now in Bach's time, there would be no western musical tradition. ALL of the great classics "stole" from one another and from previous works.

We need to go back to pre-1978 copyright, that depend on registration and revive the musical and artistsic commons.

The way to legally own that amazing Britney Spears tune that you just have to own (if you must) is to buy the disc USED. I haven't bought a new major lable disc in over ten years. The majors and the artist never see a DIME.

Copyright is a limited monoploy on the right to sell your fixed ideas. Not an absolute property right to control how people experience your work.

May every majopr lable go bancrupt, and it's executives go back to selling toilets, where most of them started these days
