Is France getting the same sweet deals the pirates in China is getting?
For example, this article --> http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20061113-8207.html

FOX, the bastion of ethics and morals (if you watch their cable news channel), is selling DVDs at low low prices in China to "combat piracy". WWBO'RD? grin

And where are the usual "all pirates must be locked up for 50 eons and lashed 20,000 times" folks on this issue?

But I digress.

What the world sees is "Pirate a movie, get a sweet deal in return".

Yet we offshore and help build their economy, which I'm not sure isn't helping our own. (especially as, without jobs, Americans can't buy the discs either)

Mixed messages? Seems to be. Please prove me wrong because I am confused.
