Google and DoubleClick, two of the largest advertising forces merging together will most definitely not provide choice for those who are seeking out a good deal on reaching a large advertising audience. Having Google and DoubleClick compete against each other however has proven to provide potential advertisers with good choice price wise and audience wise. I do not see any positive side to this merger as not only will there be a lot less choice and freedom of pricing but all the information DoubleClick has gathered on the users it has served ads to will be in the hands of Google who has in the past been questioned regarding how it handles users privacy.
