Most college students...
Veteran to veteran, I don't believe you had your thinking cap on when writing this one.

Most college students haven't had a chance to vote. The average college student enters college within a year of graduation of high school. Most college students are in two to four year courses of study. Most college students are not of legal age to vote prior to entering college.

Presidential elections are every four years.
Senatorial elections are every six years.
House elections are every two years.

Given the terms of office for the above, it is entirely possible for a student to enter college, go through their entire course of study, and graduate, without ever having the opportunity to vote in a national election.

It is also entirely possible for a student to enter college, go through their entire course of study, and only have the opportunity to cast a vote on a ballot for a single national office.

In fact, it would be a rarity for a student to enter a two or four year course of study and have an opportunity to vote on a full, national office ballot - presidential, senatorial and house.

All of that is not to say that the students take full advantage of the opportunity when it presents itself, it's strictly intended to show that it's not always possible for them to do what you claim they must before they may voice an opinion. And, for those that didn't afford themselves of that opportunity when it was presented, I would wholeheartedly agree, if I thought our "elected representatives" were actually bothering to represent us anymore.
