eBay has looked the other way for far too long. I think
that this has hurt eBay and legitimate eBay sellers as
well as the companies whose goods are being ripped
off.
In jewelry and luxury goods, all the bad stuff and
crooks on eBay have chased the good stuff out. I know
several legitimate jewelry sellers who tried to sell on
eBay but gave up because they cannot compete with
the crooks.
EBay cannot catch every little seller, but they could
do a LOT more to police the volume sellers who
account for the majority of the fake merchandise.
