I have to agree with No_Axe...
this time. Google will settle just to make it go away. It will be cheaper in the long run and will deflect negative publicity, even if their technology was developed independently. All Northeastern has to do is prove the Google founders had access to the professor's research, whether or not they attended Northeastern or actually read the paper. It's almost impossible to prove a negative. i.e., they never read the paper in question.
