So much for the gloom and doomers...

Google seems to be very adept at turning back the naysayers. For years they heard an incessant clamor of voices saying they'd never manage to eek out a profit, or if they managed to make a profit it would be a small one, or once they started making a healthy profit they'd get shot down by the established giants. Google owes its success to one thing and one thing only...it responds to the needs of its customers. As long as they can continue with that business model, they'll keep blowing away expectations.
