I've been using WIndows Live Writer
Microsoft has a good start on a good product here. It's a little rough around the edges, but a good start. (ie; it's no more polished than many Linux projects but, like them, accomplishes a narrowly defined goal without much fuss.)

Live search produces a more recent pic (by about 1 year)of a building project I was involved with than Google. That. also, is a plus.

But I don't see Microsoft doing much against Googles search prowess.

I, too, was thinking about Google meeting with anti-trust action but don't think it meets the standards for such because it hasn't used anything but innovation to achieve its fantastic growth.
