Ballmer: In advertising and search, Microsoft's way behind Google
How funny. Steve Ballmer must not use Microsoft's Live Search. I use it daily and find all relevant links unlike Google's search queries. That's the difference between these two companies and why one is determined to succeed and the other to fail. Microsoft brings back results that actually pertain to the search term, Google brings back results that have nothing to do with what you searched for and a whole lot of bogus pages.

Now that I think about it, this is actually a brilliant statement coming from Ballmer if he thinks they are behind (which they are not) then it forces Microsoft to try harder at search and they will just gain a bigger lead over Google. That is an excellent strategy.

As for advertising, forget it. The advertising model to make money is dead - Google's heart and soul being ripped right out from them so quick and hard they won't know what hit them. Then they will be a long gone dot com. So sorry Google, if you had a better business plan instead of playing with office toys you'd keep up with current trends.
