Food for thought
Just a small factor that I'd like to point out. I've worked in the telecommunications industry for quite some time, AT&T not too long ago.

I noticed that within the article the companies mentioned were AT&T and Bellsouth, which ironically happen to be the same company today. Do you think that the government's allowance of the restructure of Mob Bell was to allow larger companies to make buyouts of the smaller companies that wanted nothing to do with this new legislation?

The government broke up the Bell's a long time ago, and slowly but surely, the government is allowing them to come back together starting with the big three; AT&T, BellSouth & Southwestern Bell Corporation (SBC).

Just food for thought. wink
