Illiterate...
Since you obviously can't/don't read, why bother explaining what I've already said?

But I will bother to define a few basic terms: "Contract" simply means agreement. Under law, it can be written, oral or implied; all are equally enforcable, though obviously written contracts are easier to prove.

"...policy trump state law?". Idiotic comment. Company policies are the contractual representations made by the company to the employee, setting forth what is expected of the employee and what is due them from the company. The conditions of employment have nothing to do with the at-will doctrine of employment law; they simply establish the contractual conditions that will continue during employment.

Let me see if I can simplify the concept enough for a far-right mossback: If you tell an employee that you will pay them in Yankee dollars for working, you can still fire them whenever you want, but if you stop paying them while they are still working, you have breached the employment contract.

Keeping your word is not one of America's problems, especially among your kind of "businessman".
