The "motor" industry, the car industry, has suffered and suffered horribly for ages due to parity. Advancments very very slow to come and instead of having control of the road, they ahve control of the parts industry too, so they can build it to last just long enough to maximize profits then start taking it from you on parts.


Not a competitor who didn't have the same "status quo" came in and knocked off GM has there been any change in American made cars. If you look at Japanese cars, they are almost interchangable...nothing to really differentiate.

this industry could have gotten us to fuel cell technology much quicker than it will due to complancency and profits and parity. There has been nothing to fight for, for so long.
