Like Revolution Health It's Going To Be DOA
The only "revolution" coming is a backlash against services that want lots of personal data to mine for marketing purposes, yet offer little or no real value in return and raise significant security concerns. With PayPal dominating the e-payment market and Google's Checkout steadily gaining ground, spurred by the overwhelming and growing popularity of Google's web-based applications, Revolution Money will be hard pressed to generate enough critical mass to be successful anytime soon. Low rates are not enough, as PayPal can easily afford to lower their rates to compete if necessary and Google can continue to offer their solution for no/minimal cost, underwritten by their other income producing products/services.

Steve Case is once again extending himself into a highly competitive market, without the benefit of a strong cash cow to fund it. Another example of this is Revolution Health, also owned by Revolution, LLC.

Revolution Health is a paid membership portal, claiming to offer information and services designed to track and reduce medical costs. My experience as a trial member revealed nothing worth paying a yearly subscription for. On top of that, I'm still trying to cancel my membership and encountering "difficulties" doing so. Reminds me of AOL all over again!?
