No, the content should be pulled - who gave YouTube the authority to speak for the artists? They spoke for themselves when they sent take down notices. A civil jury could easily find for them, especially if they find the "funny" material offensive.

I think the real issue here is the fall in their sales in general, and they're blaming high-profile sites for the drop. Hello? Your sales were slumping long before YouTube was invented.

If there's a logical statement there I can't find it. Actually, they can kill two birds with one stone - sue them and get some "high-profile" publicity simultaneously.
