- RE: New Net taxes could arrive in November
-
I think everyone should be allowed the 'privelige' of using the Internet - without being hit by 'taxes' It is virtually the only 'unadulterated commodity' which is easily accessed, world wide - which benefits masses of users, in their acquiring - (at no cost)- a vast wealth of knowledge, education, information and for many - their only source of communication with the 'outside (virtually) world'. For some, it serves as an outlet for 'lifes trials and tribulations' in serving as a bit of a 'stressbuster', alleviating much pressure in some peoples 'everyday lives'. For others it is simply a means of sourcing 'specific information' on a whole range of topics, students have a 'fountain of knowledge' and 'homework/exams assistance, as and when required' It can entertain, offer facilities for booking restaurants, holidays and such like, the possibilities are endless.
Why should the Government, therefore, be allowed to gain 'control'and take a 'cut' of what should be considered as
a freely available service to all 'individuals'
afterall, it is based on 'collective knowledge and information shared with and provided by individuals, from all walks of life, around the globe?'
Why should the government therefore feel justified in cutting that 'lifeline' off for some people. Once taxes are applied to Goods or Services, it then becomes less attractive -as people need to consider, costing/budgets etc, for some possibly the end of their being part of this 'amazing technology' - given 'tight budgets/low income etc'

Dear Mr Prime Minister,
Can't you find another way of paying for our part in an unfounded, unnecessary and extortionately over-budgeted war, which may end some day .....soon!! .......Maybe? ..... (NOT!?).
Please dont penalise us, it wasnt us that made such a 'costly mistake' (not just costly in monetary value either!)
However, it is so 'wonderful and reassuring' to know we are part of this great 'democratic parliament' though it would be nice to be given some kind of 'sign?'- to reassure us that this is actually the case?
Prove our Nation to be a 'Democracy' by putting "taxing the Net" to the vote - open your heart and your mind, collecting general concencus/opinions from the 'nation' (the people) and then collate and assess the feedback - only then will you have a fully 'unbiased insight' into the nations opinions and views on the matter.
Then - above all, be guided by this & act accordingly - based on what the people want, rather than just the 'Government'.
Thank you
from the PEOPLE OF THE UKs DEMOCRACY

Enough Said, Long winded and slightly biased is my general opinion - but I hope I have raised some practical and realistic issues, for possible consideration, if a 'taxation' is to be enforced - then at least do so fairly.
- Will my opinion make a difference, or even matter? Will yours for that, matter? or anybody elses ................WATCH THIS SPACE !!!!!
No holding your breath though!!!
