I at least won't stand for it if there is an alternative

If I can find an alternative for conducting my business,
information, and news gathering needs, then I won't stand for
it. Unfortunately, the Internet IS my alternative for many
other exorbitantly priced, inferior quality services and
products.

I don't like the exorbitant cost of long distance, so I use
sipphone.com . I also don't like the high cost and taxes of my
locality, so I shop online. I don't like the offerings of the
entertainment cartels, so I get my entertainment online. I also
don't like the governmental and corporate spin of the
mainstream press, and therefore my news also is obtained
online.

People are all different, and that is what keeps us under the
thumb of big business and big government. I like the idea of
local wireless networks created by hobbyist users. If hackers
can find a way of making extended an extended range
communications links at an affordable price, then maybe we the
people can bypass the big companies and government.

Unfortunately, people have to get to work, so they cannot do
without gas. Many people work out of their home and cannot do
without the Internet. If we don't like what we have to do to
obain certain products and services, then we must come up with
a practical alternative.
