Why not stop handing out government subsidy to large corporations?

The multinational ones that have no loyalty to one country, therefore shouldn't be given a free ride by anybody?

That alone would probably give the government a huge surplus in which the national debt could be paid back; the Dollar would rise again, and republicans given a solid victory in 2008 and well beyond for reclaiming their mantra of "The party of fiscal responsibility"?

Other countries are said to have lower cost for broadband, why are Americans being socked in the goolies for the same thing?
