Well, Google should make the document clearer and make it obvious that
if you share the document with others, that you are not giving them permission to make it public to the world, only the named recipients. But, this is really just a red herring. You own any and all documents created with Google Docs. Google is not about to start sending your documents out. They realize what a big disaster that would be.

And, documents are a lot safer on Google Docs than on your average virus infested Windows PC attached to the network. Google actually uses a secure OS. Funny people using Windows questioning the security of Google Docs.
