Web 2.0 conference in Berlin
Americans get their news by Blog.

This change was recognized by time magazine when it made You (as in YouTube) person of the year. The change means those residing in the USA enjoy the form of democracy the nation's founders envisioned. Call it digital democracy, call it the dot commons, call it the information super highway and a birth right for Free Universal Access to Web 2.0 but do call it the unique form of democracy found only in the USA.

Know also that Web 2.0 is likely not possible for any other nation on earth. The laws regarding slander, liable, copyright, patents, etc are oriented to preserving monarchy and monopoly in other countries where they are oriented to benefiting citizens and residents in the USA. This Web 2.0 read write interactivity defines our nation in 2007. And it is a culture that to many powerful transnational big business decision makers hate and hope to put down both within and out of our nation.

I do not think democracy has been reinvented in the USA as much as it has been found again. But lets discuss a more profound notion.

Our nation suffered from terrorists about 50 years after slaves were freed. At that time the KKK wished a return of some kind of the glorious old days of the south. The days that had gone with the wind. In the wishing all kinds of terrorism was performed, not just on blacks but on Catholics and Jews. It only stopped when individual Klan members were fined for any action that might inhibit a person from discussing issues of the day and voting.

Fast forward to today:

Europeans, primarily Warsaw Pact Nations, probably would also like a return to the glorious days pre World War II. These were days of efficiency and art, of opera and strong economies. Is it coincidental that after 50 years from World War II that the USA is again suffering from terrorism?

This Harnessing of the Internet to rediscover democracy is just like Harnessing of the Atom to end WWII for those who are primarily haters. Hence today you have transnational big business leaders like those at SAP complaining about Americanization of their companies and you have German nationals participating in terrorist acts. On 911 lets pause to decide who are the most likely haters of US culture and most likely responsible for terrorism. Is it really Muslim? Or are those who wish to harm the US more like the KKK. Do they convert to Muslim like the KKK put on hoods?
