DRMA makes ripping off America legal and profitable

I've always wondered why is it that we Americans can shell out $20 for a
DVD or worse yet $50 to $60 for a video game that by simply taking it out
of the package can scratch it making it useless. Why is it that by simply
duplicating it so that a person can actually use it without the fear of losing
half a days pay to a scratch on what seems to be the most worthless type
of media since the Beta format. How is it that our government can even
enforce policy and laws that are plainly there to take peoples money, not
just once, but multiple times if you're not one of the brave and
revolutionary people who make it possible to bootleg movies and other
things sold to the American people with total disregard to quality and
durability. And it doesn't end with the cheap plastic discs that have been
around for 25 years now. Game consoles that go south conveniently after
the lousy 3 month waranty has expired. I should know, I've personally
owned 7 PS2's. Not only will the laser lens go bad in the newer SlimPS2 but
they've also put it right out in the open where every time one places a
game in the machine you also end up touching the lens with the disc,
hopefully not scratching the game with the machine that was bought to
make them playable in the 1st place. I'm all for the artist getting what they
deserve. I just don't think they should get paid for it more than once from
everybody. So I'd like to say thanks Uncle Sam. You're well on the way to
making this country the worst place to live in the known universe. Kind of
makes me wonder how long before the immigants and illegal aliens decide
to say "screw it", we're going back to where we came from, only if the US
Govt. will let them leave once they get here. I think I'm gonna go outside
and throw $100 or so into the wind and then go read a book. Or did they
start charging by the word to read the English language now too?
