and so are you..
Look.. 1) google isn't some corporation that sells PC's, has foundations for cash in telecommunications (Verizon) or anything else, so far... so you can't say they have too much money and should just give away what they have.. it costs money for bandwidth, money for server space, money for hardware and not to mention backup of the hardware, heaven forbid the 15 copies of the same NumaNuma video that 14 idiots copied from the first post-er be "unvailable" due to hardware failures..

but 2) anything they come up with, will eventually have some circumvention. most of the ad stuff can be avoided by getting a copy of an ad listed hosts file, which points the hosts that carry the ad information to 127.0.0.1 (loopback to self) which thusly causes no ad to be displayed or a box saying can't get the page, etc..

3) all for ads that are non-intrusive, that are system footprint light, which negates 99.9% of the ads now, because everyone wants to do media rich..

in the last respect.. that's where I have my biggest complaint. I can say that **I** will hardly ever if never click on an ad, so why slow the connection to my pc, by downloading (or attempting to) download rich media content which could interfere with and slow down the content I **do** want... all you do by doing so, is piss me off even more..

ads that I've found to hate the most? Gotomypc.com .... they host their own ads, and they do so on an SSL protected server, so what happens? every time one of THEIR ads attempts to load, I get he warning that I'm about to load a secure URL ... you idiots out there say "just click that box to not show the warning" ... and to those same idiots I say.. you got owned why?
