- Advertising is bringing in the billions and I wouldn't rely on a few bozos that use a computer. Other polls have shown that the normal Internet surfer DOES read the ad, if it interests them. I mean, SOMEONE is clicking on these popups and side-bar ads... this is why it is out of control. Of course, some of those website MAKE you read, click or whatever just to get their "click thru pay". However, that said, I agree, it is ruining the Internet and it's mostly these greedy, bloated big corporations who have a million(s) dollar advertising budget, IBM, Verizon, HP, Eli Lilly to name a few... Unfortunately it is only gonna get worse unless the feds step in and place restrictions on them... But I don't see a single lawmaker with enough IT intelligence to comprehend the logistics....
