Who said anything about picking sides? My statement that Realplayer has historically is not an endorsement of Microsoft. I don't recall saying anything about MS in fact.

API's. How is it that hundreds of other companies can use the same provided API's and make stable software for the Windows platform?? Hmmm. Maybe it is a reflection of Real's quality control...

For me things are very simple. If I install some software and it constantly screws things up even on clean machines then I keep going. I don't have to ponder company alliances and who screwed who or think about the ins and outs of the software development business.
