Revenge of RealNetworks

Maria Cantwell, senator from Washington state, was one of the RealNetwork executives responsible for RealPlayer and of course RealNetworks was the company that charged Microsoft executives with further illegal use of monopoly power in Europe.

When you select sides in the future, try to pick the side that subscribes to industry standards and quality and not just quality but documented quality. In this case we are chatting about API documentation. If RealPlayer screwed up all your computers then you have Microsoft to blame. You do realize that RealNetworks was formed by a Microsoft executive do you not?

Eventually the good do not tolerated bad. We have reached that point today with this announcement. Maria Cantwell represents a thorn in Microsoft managements side that now is more than an irritation. It will be death for both Ballmer and Brad Smith. Lets not pretend that very powerful politicians are working to that end.

Microsoft remains a national treasure. What we seek in this industry and in the USA is the removal of the criminally minded from our corporations. We will do this without aid from the EU and without turning those wrong doers loose in those societies.
