Why would you not pay a musician for writing a song?
He produces a product, do you get paid for the job you do?

The fact that it?s creative does not change a thing, look at
movies and movie directors, it?s creative, should they not get
paid as well ?.. if they didn?t MAKE money doing that do
you think we would have good movies or songs?
