It matters a little

If we lived in a society where we didn't have money, then you'd have a point, but sadly, we don't live in the Land of Oz. Time is money, and it takes time and energy to create art. Don't artists deserve compensation for that? I do, which is why I do feel that either they be given more money, or artists leave the labels and self-publish as soon as their contracts with the labels are up.

There's nothing wrong with getting rich, or at least paying the bills, by doing something you love.
