You said it all pretty well.

I find it amazing that "kids" (I am only 32, and far from "old" yet,) today on the one hand think "old people" are "out of touch" and on the other are "creepy" for trying to be a part of the new generation.

Most adults I know don't bother with things like Facebook or MySpace. Personally, I think they are a total waste of time. However, if someone chose to get involved in all of that, it's a personal decision.

Children today can't scream that they deserve some form of personal freedom and be so quick to take it away from their elders at the same time. Respect is a two way street.

I love how oblivious "young" people are these days. They post all sorts of personal information all over the internet, download virus laden music and videos, but complain that predators are targeting them, and that record companies are putting unfair restrictions on their use of copyrighted material.

Of course "old timers" are always going to laugh at the folly of youth, but the attitude of kids these days defies logic itself.
